MERCEDES UNVEILS ML 450 IN NEW YORK

Mercedes-Benz, a subsidiary of Daimler AG, unveiled the ML 450 Hybrid, the most efficient full hybrid in its class, at the 2009 New York International Auto Show in April. The ML 450 Hybrid is the first full HEV from a European manufacturer specifically developed for the North American market. The ML 450 Hybrid is a sport utility vehicle (SUV) that consumes almost 50 percent less fuel than the conventional ML550, although it retains over 90 percent of the maximum power generated by the V8 engine in the conventional model.
