A wood recycling company's failure to protect staff from moving vehicles has cost it 234,000 pounds after a load checker was killed by a loading shovel. Raymond Burns was taking plastic waste from a large wood pile to a skip in UK Wood Recycling's yard in Redcar when he was run over by the vehicle, which was moving material from one area of the site to another.
