HSE launches laser regs consultation

THE HSE has begun the consulta-tion exercise on the planned Cont of Artificial Optical Radiation at Work Regulations, due to come into force in late April 2010. The consultation document (available at www.lexisurl.com/ hsw529) outlines the "light touch" approach to transposing an EU Directive on protecting workers from artificial optical light sources agreed by the HSE board earlier in the year.
