IIRSM conference: The price of regulation

HSE chair Judith Hackitt had a wintry message for delegates in her keynote address at the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management's eighth annual conference in association with Health and Safety at Work at Birmingham's ThinkTank science centre on 13 November. "Like every other part of the government, we have seen our funding reduce over the past five years," said Hackitt, "and there's no reason to expect it will be any different after the general election next year, and that's irrespective of the political outcome."
