摘要

Three-quarters of workers are afraid to report a workplace safety problem because they fear it may affect their job security or promotion prospects, a survey has found. The poll, which covered more than 1600 employees in offices, factories, shops and public service bodies across the UK, found that 53% of workers would not report serious issues such as electrical faults or broken machinery in someone else's work area and 21% would not mention shortcomings in their own sections.
