Unions to fight for corporate killing bill changes

THE TUC will continue to press for changes to the corporate killing bill after its annual congress passed a resolution calling for the addition of secondary liability for individual directors and senior managers. The Amicus union's resolution, supported by the TUC General Council, expressed alarm that the current Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Bill, which began its parliamentary journey in July, "specifically excludes the possibility of an individual being guilty of aiding, abetting, counselling or procuring the commission of an offence of corporate manslaughter'.
