This statement on the use of nonanesthesiologist-adminis-tered propofol (NAAP) for GI endoscopy is issued jointly by The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroen-terological Association, and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. A 4-memb.er committee, composed of a representative from each society, prepared the first draft of this document, which was then reviewed and approved by the governing board of each organization.
