Washington, D.C.-While speakers at one panel of the Society of Automotive Engineers conference here were skeptical of an increase in U.S. fuel taxes in the short-term (see related story, this issue), speakers at another panel saw an increase in the fuel tax as a means to stabilize long-term support for future climate change initiatives.
