The Many Paths to 80% GHG Reductions by 2050: Study

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% below 1990 levels by 2050, it has been said over and over again that there is no "silver bullet" and that automakers and fuel producers must employ several strategies simultaneously.Now there's a study to back up this claim, as researchers from University of California-Davis determined that the best scenarios to drastically reduce emissions in California's transportation sector, through an efficient use of biofuels and electric power. They presented their paper at last month's Transportation Research Board meeting in Washington, D.C.
