UOP Wins U.S. DOE Grant for Pyrolysis Oil Stability R&D

Some day, refiners might be able to use biomass-sourced pyrolysis oil along with crude oil to make "green" gasoline and diesel - and help reduce crude oil dependence.But pyrolysis oil's instability complicates this possibility.So, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced it's teaming with refinery technology provider UOP to come up with a scheme to help stabilize py-oil from non-food biomass.
