U.S. EPA Grants Partial Stay of NSPS for Petroleum Refineries

U.S. EPA announced Sept. 26 that it has issued a 90-day stay for certain provisions contained in the newly promulgated standards of performance for new, modified or reconstructed units at petroleum refineries. EPA had granted the stay at the request of the American Petroleum Institute, the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association and the Western States Petroleum Association. U.S. Virgin Islands refiner Hovensa had also requested a stay.
