GROUP CITES HEALTH STUDIES TO PRESS FOR TIGHTER OZONE NAAQS

Scientific studies show tighter ozone standards are needed, a Washington, DC-based public health group said. After seeing data the U.S. EPA is using to review the current national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for ozone, the group's executive director said new evidence shows the existing standards are not adequate to protect public health.
