摘要

Recently, the situation has become much worse over the utilization of oil associated gas (OAG) at oilfields. The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) reports that out of the 55-60 billion of OAG extracted in the country, only about 26% goes to further processing and about 30% is burned. The deliberate burning of oil gas in flares causes the state budget to lose every year about 13.5 billion US dollars, quite apart from the catastrophic damage to the environment from the combustion products.
