Mobile Operation and Remote Control of OAC Machine for u-Machine

摘要

This study tried to control and monitor Open-Architecture Computerized Numerical Controller (OAC) machine anywhere and anytime for the development of a ubiquitous Machine (u-Machine). With a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) phone, the machine status and machining data of CNC machines can be monitored in wired and wireless environments which include IMT2000 network, wireless LAN and wired web environment. Moreover, OAC machine can be controlled anywhere and anytime. The control data, such as the start, hold, emergency stop, reserved start and reserved stop, were also applied to the CNC domain of the real OAC machine. OAC machine can therefore be controlled and monitored in real time. And prompt notification from OAC machines to mobile terminals including cellular and PDA phone can be automatically notified in emergencies.
