Scientists review advances in disease control

The Western Poultry Disease Conference is one of the major annual meeting places in the USA for international poultry health specialists. This year the attention was focussed on salmonella, avian influenza, Cumboro and coccidiosis. The 2004 Western Poultry Disease Conference provided an opportunity for scientists affiliated to universities, research institutes and the biologies and pharmaceutical manufacturers to present data on diseases of economic significance. Participants represented turkey broiler, breeder and egg production segments of the industry and included Federal and State regulatory veterinarians,. The Western Poultry Disease Conference is noted for a wide range of participants with papers presented from Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, the UK and the USA.
