摘要

The paper deals with the Hardware-In-the-Loop based methodology which was adopted to evaluate the dynamic characteristics of Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Electro-Hydraulic Brake (EHB) system components. The link between the hardware of the hydraulic unit and a vehicle model running in real time permits the objective evaluation of the performance induced by the single components of different hydraulic units in terms of vehicle dynamics. Typical driving cycles which can be simulated are presented and discussed. The second part of this paper suggests the Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) tests which can be adopted to evaluate the influence exerted by the hydraulic hardware of the brake system on vehicle dynamics and handling.
