Processing at a Severn Water treatment works in the UK was revolutionised through the application of accurate chemical dosing, reduced maintenance and reliable operation - all due to the replacement of rotor and stator pumps with peristaltic technology supplied by Watson-Marlow Bredel. The water treatment works (WTW) at Bamford, UK, near the historic water reservoir, pump 160 megalitres of water per day. Water from the works enters a large aquaduct, which flows down from North Derbyshire through Nottingham into Birmingham.
