Poultry utilization of sugar cane high-test molasses

High-test molasses or inverted rich syrup is a sugarcane juice that can be used as a feed ingredient for non-ruminants. Trials have shown that it may replace cereals with little or no effect on bird performance. The low prices of sugar on the inter-national market, among other eco-nomic aspects, are compelling Cuba to carry out a process of re-conversion of the sugarcane industry. In this process, fourteen factories ate specializing in the production of inverted high-test molasses for non-ruminant (pigs, poultry and rabbits) feeding.
