Hybrid vigour:Waterborne urethane-acrylics combine high performance with low VOC content

Polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) are known to provide a good combination of physical and chemical properties.Consequently,they are becoming increasingly popular as binders for one-component coatings for a variety of materials;however,the resultant coatings are relatively expensive.Blending with much less expensive acrylic emulsions provides a means of reducing the cost of aliphatic PUD-based coatings,but can significantly diminish their performance.
