Photocuring and light stabilisation of waterborne wood coatings

UV curing in the presence of UV absorbers and hindered amine light stabilisers (HALS) seems to be a contradiction. However, by the appropriate selection of photoiniators and light stabilisers full cure and adequate light stabilisation of wood coatings based on polyurethane dispersions (PUD) is obtainable.
