The application micronutrients B (0.1%), Fe (0.1%) and Zn (0.2%) either singly or in combination as foliar spray on papaya cv. Ranchi did not show any significant variations in the two year experiments on the reducing sugar and (3-carotene content ofthe fruits. The total sugar and reducing sugar were found maximum with the application of Fe in both the years, however, in general, non-reducing sugar was recorded highest with the application of B+Zn. The acidity content of fruit did not show any set trend with the micronutrient applications in both the years. However, the least acidity content was obtained with the combined applications of Fe+Zn and B+Fe+Zn in the first year while in the second year with the spraying of B. The ascorbic acid content was found highest with the application of B+Fe+Zn irrespective of year.
