Meanwhile, Maersk Drilling has confirmed that it has finalised the first two contracts for newbuild semi Maersk Deliverer. The rig's maiden commitment will be a two wells plus one-well option charter offshore Mauritania that is being co-ordinated by AGR on behalf of Dana Petroleum and Petronas Carigali. For the firm portion of the contract, Dana will drill one exploration well at its Cormoran prospect on Block 7, while Petronas Carigali will drill one exploration well at its Gharabi prospect on Block 6. A start date for this campaign has been scheduled for early September 2010 following the rig's arrival from Singapore.
