Following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the country last March, the country's PC producers have been faced with numerous production interruptions, particularly aromati.es producers. CM Aroma's 270K mt/y and JX Nippon Oil & Energy's 470K mt/y mixed xylenes (MX) plants were shuttered after the quake and both are still offline a year later. According to one trader, "It is most likely that MX supply.. .will resume only in H2 2012."
