Italy's Eni has dropped tantalizing hints of a potential LNG development in Ghana, exploiting a pair of recent nonassociated gas discoveries on the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) Block. With three wells sunk so far on the acreage, Eni said it can now consider "important development and production synergies." What form those synergies will take is as yet unstated, but they include exploiting the "international market for liquefied gas," Eni said in a statement. Gas volumes from the Sankofa and Gye Nyame discoveries would be consolidated in any development. Eni also cited its "significant knowledge and appropriate technology" when it comes to offshore gas facilities.
