Angola LNG A Go, Market Still A Mystery

Investors took the final investment decision on Angola's first LNG project (ALNG) Monday, while Italy's Eni, which formally joined the project only last Friday, is already talking of a second train led by state company Sonangol. Yet for all the fanfare - to be expected at the conclusion of such long, drawn-out negotiations - investors declined to disclose the project's price tag or the nature of marketing arrangements agreed to between the international majors that are ALNG partners and the US terminal that is to receive the output.
