Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia held steady at $5.50 per million Btu after a pricier-than-expected cargo award amid weak end-user demand, according to WGI assessments for cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. In Southwest Europe, prices also held steady at $4.40/ MMBtu. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price rose 190 to $3.70/MMBtu, while October futures slid 90 to $4.28/MMBtu. Netbacks for Mideast sellers in Asia were 950 higher than in Southwest Europe, while UK/ Belgian netbacks were almost $1.75 lower than Asian netbacks.
