Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia held steady at $5.50 per million Btu in thin trading, according to WGI assessments for cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. Prices in Southwest Europe were assessed 100 higher at $4.50/ MMBtu, The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price was assessed 950 lower at $2.75/MMBtu on unseasonably warm weather and low demand, while October futures dropped 240 to $4/MMBtu. Netbacks for Mideast sellers in Asia were around $1.10 higher than in Southwest Europe, while UK/Belgian netbacks were roughly $2 lower than Asian netbacks.
