Northeast Asian prices edged up 15¢ to $7.80 per million Btu, but the return to service of Australia's Northwest Shelf (NWS) is keeping a lid on pricing ideas, according to WGI assessments for LNG cargoes for delivery four to eight weeks ahead. Prices in Southwest Europe were assessed at $6.80, down 5¢. The UK National Balancing Point (NBP) day-ahead price assessed by WGI dropped 43¢ to $6.64 and June NBP futures fell 18¢ to $6.41. Netbacks for Mideast sellers were about $ 1 higher in Asia than in Southwest Europe, while UK/Belgian netbacks for Mideast sellers lagged Asia by roughly $1.25.
