The text part on the label is completed with the code for the goods (51). A code reader (52) is so formed that the scanner head coincides with the label holder frame so that the scanner adopts the correct position and distance for reading the code when the scanner is advanced towards the label. The code reader is provided with on one side a reading in and out contact so arranged that when the code reader is held against the printed label frame the contact (53) contacts simultaneously the contact plate (41) on the electronic part. The code reader (52) is connected to a hand computer and information transmitted from the hand computer to the electronic part adjusts the electronic part display (45). A verification that this has occurred is sent back as a signal to the hand computer for further transmission to the shop main computer in which the new information can now be stored.
