It is no longer a question of whether, but how quickly, LNG will move into transport applications such as on-road trucks, off-road equipment, rail and shipping. The shift in thinking was underlined at last week's LNG 17 mega-conference in Houston, where the subject of LNG for transport featured for the first time and where Daniel Yergin, chairman of energy consultancy IHS Cera, acknowledged it had gained an "awful lot of momentum."
