Cooling and storage methods are the key to maintaining Braeburn quality. INTERNAL flesh browning is a serious disorder of Braeburn apples. The fact that it is presently undetectable noninvasively makes its presence insidious. Several different manifestations of flesh browning can be grouped together under the major heading Braeburn Browning Disorder (BED). Sometimes these distinctions become clouded, but for this overview, BED will be divided into three classifications.
