Rocla Pipeline Products, reinforced concrete pipe and precast specialist, is launching a marketing push in Western Australia for a new (to the state) concept of precast concrete bridge components.The M-Lock bridge system is being promoted as he ideal solution for local government and other agencies for small to medium sized bridges, particularly in rural areas. Bob Druitt, Rocla's national product manager, said the system had been available from Rocla's sister company Choctaw Inc in the United States for some 50 years. Rocla introduced it initially in New South Wales, gaining technical approval from the Roads and Traffic Authority and constructing 23 bridges to date using the system.
