A proposal for the speed capability of all multi combination prime movers to be set at 100kmph nationally is being considered as part of the National Road Transport Commission Third Reform Package to establish a uniform multi combination prime mover.Queensland Transport officers reported to the seventh meeting of the Remote Areas Group in Alice Springs in August that they had prepared a proposal that has been forward to transport agencies' chief executives seeking comment as to whether it is acceptable to manage this project in stages. It is expected they will be in a position to report back in October.
