U.K. 'wire scholar' to tour U.S., attend Interwire

A special reciprocal scholarship program, bom from the more than half century old clockwinding tradition, will continue as a representative from the U.K. wire industry was due to be chosen to serve as the 2007 WireLink Traveling Scholar. The program offers ambitious young managers, from U.K. and American wire companies (in alternate years), a two-week tour where they get to see how their counterparts run their operations. The idea is that the recipient will gain knowledge that benefits both their employer as well as advances their career development.
