Micro-Coax Cable Manufacturing with Highly Foamed Fluoro-Polymer Insulation

A range of equipment has been developed to meet the challenges of micro-sized wires down to 25 microns (1 mil) diameter. Mobile phones, LED displays, medical probes-all of these applications need micro-sized coaxial cables or insulated wires with perfect quality regarding insulation uniformity and electrical and mechanical characteristics. Making the products smaller and smaller also requires the manufacturing equipment to be miniaturized, while still allowing economic operation in an industrial environment.
