Ford Ka: Designed by Ford, built by Fiat, more grown up - but as cheeky as ever

THIS IS THE Ford that Fiat builds. The new Ka, due to go on sale by the end of this year, is based on the Fiat 500 and will be built alongside, it at Fiat's factory in Poland, although it has been designed and re-engineered by Ford. It replaces a model that has racked up nearly 1.5 million sales in its 12-year life, a third of those customers coming from the UK. Compact dimensions, pert styling and brilliant driving dynamics were the original Ka's key selling points. The new one aims to preserve those qualities, but with a fresher look and a brighter interior that will have even stronger appeal to younger buyers.
