THIS IS THE sixth generation of the BMW 7 Series. Larger, lighter, more efficient and loaded with the very latest technology, the new model has its sights set on the sector-leading Mercedes-Benz S-Class. It's available with four-wheel drive and comes in standard and long wheelbase forms. Power comes from a choice of six-cylinder petrol or diesel engines, in 740Li and 730d variants respectively. A hybrid format will follow.
