You'd have thought motoring might have been one of the key points of the election, but the impact of the recession - and how we deal with the £160 billion debt it has caused - meant it barely got a mention. Of the 14 policy headings on the Labour website, transport didn't feature at all. Unfortunately, it's not likely to be a top priority for the new Government, either. With the Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition trying to trim £6bn from public spending this year, don't expect bold new strategies to change how we get from A to B.
