Emilio Armendariz 2014 Safety Person of the Year

This year, Emilio Armendariz was honored by the AESC as the recipient of the 2014 Safety Person of the Year award. Emilio began his career with Buster's Well Service, Inc. as a floorhand in December 1991 and moved up to rig operator in 1994. He and his crew were one of the most sought after crews by customers because of Emilio's leadership abilities and work ethics. In 2000, Emilio was promoted to safety and compliance manager where he continues to exhibit his natural leadership abilities and thirst for knowledge. His earlier rig positions and responsibilities made him the perfect candidate for Buster's Well Service fledgling safety program. His connection with the other employees helped to further implement the company's safety policies and procedures. He has the natural ability to get on the employee's level and "back up" his information because he has walked in their shoes.
