Energy prices are going to continue rocketing upwards, at least until 2009. Fight back by being a hard-nosed buyer, and keeping a watchful eye on the meter. Energy prices will rise rapidly during the next few years. Charges for non-domestic electricity increased from 4p/kWhr to 6p/kWhr last year and the economic trend continues. Consolidation in the generating sector, along with the depletion of fossil fuel reserves, is putting pressure on the energy business and peak charges are predicted this winter. The only sure way to reduce bills is to use less and/or find alternative cheaper and 'greener' resources.
