摘要

The Finite-Element-Method (FEM) can contribute to theoptimisation of the wet drawing process by predicting the effects given bydifferent die geometry and different area reductions of the wire. Nevertheless, inorder to get accurate results, the FEM model shall be validated by thecomparison of computed results with direct (in process) measurements. Thispaper presents an experimental development of a transducer based on the split-dieconcept under pre-stress and the validation of the die assembly by elastic FEManalysis, which is made on the sensitivity of the sensor to a variation of thedrawing force and of the pre-stress. Acquired results are commented and furtherapplication perspectives are envisaged.
