摘要

Tensile residual stress of welds is reduced using low transformation-temperature welding wire with Ms of 150 degrees C (LTTW), and can be induced compressive residual stress. However, the mechanism of the compressive residual stress occurrence using LTTW filler materials is not made clear enough. Authors analyzed the residual stress behavior with several degrees of restraint length using the joint models which is used LTTW filler materials, and as shown in Fig. 1, they suggested the possibility of changing from tensile residual stress to compressive residual stress by increasing the restraint intensity. In this examination, the stress development process in case of LTTW filler materials is analyzed using a simple model in detail.
