Almost indistinguishable, at first glance, from the top-of-the-range Scirocco R, the R-Line with 220 PS 2.0 TSI and 6-speed DSG transmission provides ample performance and reasonable fuel economy, although there are a few shortcomings... THE REVISED Scirocco was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014 and we reviewed the range in our September 2014 issue. It's the latest iteration of the stylish new model that was released back in 2008 as a contemporary of the Mk 5 Golf but, as we've explained previously, we hesitate to refer to the latest model as 'new' because it is restyled rather than redesigned - what some might refer to as a facelift.
