I am 32 and it seems like I am surrounded by 21-year-olds. Also, I have been working in the same emergency clinic for the past 10 years. It is starting to be a joke that I come with the place. Are there any other 30-somethings out there starting to wonder if you will really be holding the other end of that rottweiler on the x-ray table when you are 45 or even 55??? I'll be 45 this year and I'm still going strong. I have worked at my current practice for 14 years but have been in the field for nearly20. My coworkers know that they can ask me just about any question and get an answer because "I'm older than dirt," plus I also came with the place.
