Hydro-power plays an important role at FDF since it is complementary to nuclear energy and due to its economic and dynamic performance, is used to guarantee the safety and competitiveness of the electric system. New society requirements lead to the "eating away" of the water reserves and thus reduce the possibility of modulating EDF's hydropower park. The opportunities offered by changing regulations in terms of renewable energy mean that the time is right to look for solutions to limit the drop in the technical and economic performance and search for new effective solutions for hydropower.
