Seven years of operating experience with high-dust-DENOX-plants behind slag-tap pulverised coal firing -effects on adjoining plant

Units 1 and 2 at Staudinger Power Station arc cyclone-fired with 100 % fly ash return. The units,which were built in 1965, were retrofitted in 1989/90 with flue gas nitrogen removal plant. Thecatalysers showed themselves to be especially weak in respect of pollution. This paper reports on theeffects on adjoining plant and on measures taken to prevent pollution.
