Split tooling saves costs and changeover time

Next month machine tooling show EMO, to be held between September 12-19 at Hannover in Germany, will see Dreistern launch what it claims as a breakthrough in roll-forming.The company has moved away from the traditional tooling design of one homogeneous strip to launch a twin-element design concept. It suggests this innovation will reduce capital investment in tool production machinery, material costs and the changeover time for tooling.
