A new factory for a new trailer at Kraker

The Netherlands - Moving floor trailer specialist, Kraker Trailers BV of Axel, Netherlands has erected a new building adjacent to its existing premises, which it is in the process of equipping with state-of-the-art machinery such as robotic cutting and welding machines and a 60m fully-automated paint booth to manufacture its brand new modular moving trailer design, called K-Force. With start of production of the new modular trailer design from February, Rico Koops, export sales director for Kraker, explained at the RAI CV show in Amsterdam last month that the new trailer design, together with the new factory, would enable it to produce trailers of the highest quality, more efficiently and more cost effectively. Furthermore, this would enable it to scale up production and allow it to sell into new markets outside Europe. "We are an engineering company, and we believe in innovation and smart manufacturing to be competitive," he said. The existing factory, Koops stated, is to be retained for production of special trailers such as it's on/off road trailer with large off-road wide single tyres - see separate article in this issue.
