Viseon finalises manufacturing contracts of Neoplan vehicles with MAN

Bus and coach manufacturing contractor, Viseon Bus of Pilsting, Lower Bavaria, Germany, has finalised and signed contracts with MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG and Neoplan Bus GmbH to take over the factory in Pilsting on April 1, 2009. Under the agreements, Viseon Bus is to be responsible for the following activities. Construction, sales and production of electric trolley buses under the Neoplan brand name until late 2010. Construction and sales of the N91 Series Neoplan airport buses under the Neoplan brand name until late 2010; this model was first launched back in 2005. Viseon, which took over the sales of airport buses from Neoplan in 2008, intends to continue to outsource manufacturing arrangements of these vehicles with TVM in Maribor, Slovenia (Volumes for 2009 are estimated at 50). Other activities include interior fitting of Neoplan double deck buses and coaches, development and construction of the new generation, Neopan Skyliner (double deck coach) and sales of the Midibus Marbus ViveTH within Germany.
