Wrightbus offers choice of Cummins and Daimler engines in StreetLite at Euro 6

UK - Wrightbus StreetLite, the name of the integral midi-bus range of the Ballymena-based Wrightbus Ltd is, at Euro 6, being offered with a choice of either Cummins or Daimler engines. The Cummins engine is a 4.5-litre ISB using both EGR and SCR technologies to achieve Euro 6 compliance in three power ratings of 160hp, 185hp and 207hp. Wrightbus says it is 50kg lighter than its Euro 5 predecessor, and has a very similar size, shape and mounting arrangement to the Euro 5 Cummins ISB. This is matched as standard with the Voith 824.6 4-speed fully automatic gearbox and integrated hydrodynamic retarder. The Curnmins engine options are offered in the 8.8m and 9.5m wheel forward models and StreetLite 10.2m and 10.8m door forward - the latter offers up to 41 seated, 29 standees and a maximum capacity of 70 passengers.
